‘Penny-Pincher’ event provides students with financial guidance

Attention penny-pinchers- saving money while on a college budget just got easier.

Students attending colleges and universities all over the world are notoriously “broke” a majority of the time. Maybe this is due to a lack of self-control on shopping trips, or maybe it’s because they just barely have enough to scrape by after paying for classes, books, and living expenses.

All of that will be a thing of the past thanks to an event being hosted at Valencia College called, “Frugality! Steal or Splurge Tabling.”

This event is meant to inform students about the many ways that they can save money, while maintaining that tight college budget. This penny-pinching event will be hosted by the Financial Learning Ambassadors (FLA).

They will be showing students all kinds of money saving tips and tricks to use right now. This particular event will be great for students who find themselves in financial pickles and are in need of some guidance on how to become savvier shoppers.

Even students who are not struggling financially can still afford to attend the event because it is never a bad idea to save what you can.

‘Frugality! Steal or Splurge Tabling” will be held at Valencia’s East Campus in Building 5 in the great hall on Oct. 19 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Do not miss out on this chance to get some real advice from people who have been in these exact shoes.

Saving money never goes out of style!
