Free Internship and Career Resources for Valencia Students

Volunteers with the Internship and Workforce Services Office and the Career Center the Internship and Workforce Services Office and the Career Center set up booths in the Building 5 Atrium on Thursday, February 9, at East Campus. They have been encouraging students at all campus’ to think about their future by providing them with free resources to get internships.

 

Internships are a great way to learn about a career while gaining credit. If you are looking for an internship this summer, the application open enrollment is from February 13th-March 31st. Another beneficial program provided by Valencia is the Career Action Distinction Program. It is a free experience in which you can explore your career and transfer school options, develop networking and job search skills, make yourself more competitive in your job search, and connect your college experience to your career. By the end of this program, you will receive a cord at graduation, a certificate of completion, a formal letter of activities completed, and an enhancement to your resume and transfer college application.
Enrollment is open to any degree-seeking student at Valencia who has completed 12-15 credit hours. There is only one more orientation left for this program and it is Wednesday, February 22, 12-1 in room 5-112 at the East Campus.
