PHOTOS: Orlando’s bowl week features big wins by Baylor, Michigan

ORLANDO — Jake Rudock was named game MVP as the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Florida Gators 41-7 in the 2016 Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl.

The Wolverines scored 34 unanswered points after the Gators scored in the first quarter to tie the game at 7-7 on a pass play to quarterback Treon Harris.

Michigan now finishes the season 10-3 in the first season under new head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Wolverines will open the 2016 regular season on September 3 when they take on Hawaii in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The UCF Knights will then travel to the Big House the following week.

ORLANDO — Offensive Coordinator Kendal Briles completely changed up the game plan and coached the Baylor Bears to an FBS bowl record 645 rushing yards in a beat down of the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Johnny Jefferson led the rushing attack for the Bears with his Russell Athletic Bowl record 299 yards, most of which game out of the Wildcat formation, while he added three touchdowns.

With the win the Bears finished their season with 10 wins and their first bowl victory since 2012.
