Manchester Orchestra will be doing a meet & greet/signing at Park Ave CD’s this Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m.

When people think of the Atlanta music scene, acts like Outkast, Future, and other rap groups come to mind; but Atlanta is also the home to indie rock band Manchester Orchestra, who will be stopping at the House of Blues in Orlando on Saturday, April 19.

Singer-songwriter and rhythm guitarist Andy Hull started the band in 2004 with lead guitarist Robert McDowell, keyboardist Chris Freeman, bassist Andy Prince and drummer Tim Very.

The group released their first full length album “I Feel Like a Virgin Who Lost a Child” in 2006. This release led to the band being recognized and signed by Canvasback records.

The band would then take three years to release their sophomore album “Mean Everything to Nothing,” that was released in February of 2009.

Shortly after the release, the group teamed up with fellow musician Kevin Devine, who is opening with his own band on this current tour, to release a collaborative album “Bad Books” under the moniker of the same name.

After a series of other extended plays and a full length titled “Simple Math,” in 2011, Manchester Orchestra is back with a brand new album entitled “Cope,” that was released on April 1 of this year.

Joining the band on stage will be fellow indie rockers Balance and Composure and Kevin Devine & The Goddamn Band.

Doors to the show will open at 7 p.m. and the first act will go on at 8 p.m. Tickets to the event can be found at Livenation.com
