Students on Valencia East Campus will choose a new Student Government Association president in two weeks. A “Meet the Candidate” forum will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 1pm in the Mall area to introduce the two individuals running for president and one individual running for vice president. The two students running for president are Joshua Hawksley and Success Ekpenyong. The student running for vice president is Kenyetta West.

Joshua Hawksley is a 28 year old Social Science Education major. He is also a Floridian ice hockey player. After working as a general manager at Denny’s for 2 years, he has come back to school to follow his passion of becoming a History Professor.

Success Ekpenyong is majoring in management information systems. He’s a public speaker and soccer player. His passion is developing opportunities for strategic human capital development.

Kenyetta West is a business major and intends to get a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is the event coordinator for Valencia’s African American Cultural Society club, and before she came to Valencia as a student, she has been apart of multiple leadership programs like Leadership Fort Meade and also Uthmpact.

Online elections hosted on Atlas will begin Monday, March 6th and end Wednesday, March 8th.
